Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player and world number five Daniil Medvedev has spoken about his preparation for the 2024 US Open.

“I prepared well because I withdrew early from the Cincinnati tournament and was able to focus on training, which was lacking after Wimbledon. I did well at Wimbledon, but I had only a few days of rest before the Olympics. After the Olympics, the tournament in Montreal started immediately and there was no time for full training, which sometimes leads to less successful results. I prefer to have training blocks and I was able to do them here. I understood that in Montreal and Cincinnati my tennis was not at the highest level, it happens. The main thing for me was to come here, get into the rhythm, feel confident and try to play better. I am back on track and will try to win as many matches as possible,” Medvedev said at a press conference.

Recall that in the first round of the US Open 2024, Daniil Medvedev defeated Serbian tennis player Dusan Lajovic with a score of 6:3, 3:6, 6:3, 6:1.
