Athletistic/Tennis. The world’s fifth racket, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, reached the second week of the US Open for the sixth time in a row. In the third round of the US Open 2024, he confidently defeated Italian Flavio Cobolli with a score of 6:3, 6:4, 6:3.

The US Open is Medvedev’s most successful Grand Slam tournament. He reached the final twice in 2019 and 2023, and in 2021 he won the championship title. In 2020, Medvedev reached the semifinals, and in 2022 he lost in the fourth round.

To reach the quarter-finals of the 2024 US Open, Medvedev will fight with the 34th world racket, the Portuguese Nuno Borges.

The 2024 US Open began on August 26 and will end on September 8. The defending men’s champion, Serbian Novak Djokovic, was eliminated from the tournament in the third round.
