Sachko reaches the final of the Challenger qualification in Austria, Ursu failed to reach the main draw of the tournament in Shanghai

Two Ukrainian tennis players started in the qualification of two tournaments of the series ATP Challenger TourThey performed differently: Vitaly Sachko won the semi-final of the qualifying tournament in Austria TulneA Vadim Ursu his fight of the same stage in Chinese Shanghai lost.

Vitaliy defeated German Adrian Etzbach in two sets. The Ukrainian needed one hour and 38 minutes to win. The first set was a rollercoaster: Sachko was losing 0:2, then leading 5:3, but in the end it all ended in a tie-break, where the Ukrainian representative managed to snatch victory — 7:5.

In the second set there was no particular struggle: Sachko responded to Etzbach’s one break with three and triumphed with a crushing score.

Ursu, who recently became Ukraine’s number one tennis player, lost to American Omni Kumar in a fierce battle. The opponents exchanged confident victories in sets. Kumar began the decisive third set with a break point – and eventually brought the matter to a victorious end.
