German tennis player Alexander Zverev qualified for the ATP Finals tournament in Turin and will participate in the competition for the seventh time in his career, according to the website of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Earlier, Zverev, ranked fourth in the world, reached the quarterfinals of the US Open by defeating American Brandon Nakashima – 3:6, 6:1, 6:2, 6:2. This result allows him to rise to second place in the championship race. Zverev became the second tennis player to qualify for the final tournament this season, after world number one, Italian Jannik Sinner.
The German tennis player won the Nitto ATP Finals twice in 2018 and 2021.
