Athletistic / Tennis. Honored Master of Sports, former Russian tennis player Andrei Chesnokov admitted that he was surprised by the defeat of Russian Andrei Rublev to Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov. The opponents met in the 4th round of the US Open.

Yanchuk: “Rublev lacks self-confidence”

“Andrey did not take advantage of his chances, gave up a game on serve in the first set, then he broke in the second set and could not convert it. Grigor lost his attention, and Rublev, feeling defeated, started playing great. In the fifth set, Andrey I felt a chance to win again and got nervous, a very disappointing defeat.

“Andrey played well. He was in such good shape that I didn’t expect him to lose to Dimitrov. He had very good chances of reaching the semi-finals,” Chesnokov is quoted as saying by TASS.
