Athletistic/Tennis. Honored coach of Russia Viktor Yanchuk shared his opinion on the upcoming US Open quarter-final between the world’s number one Italian Jannik Sinner and the world’s number five Russian Daniil Medvedev, noting that the match promises to be even.

“The match will be equal. There is hope that Medvedev will be more stable – it is difficult to escape from him. Sinner is a master of distributing the balls and plays well at a high pace. However, Daniil is now in good shape, he holds the game confidently and counterattacks well. Both have equal chances, an interesting fight awaits us. I think the match could last up to five sets. Sinner is faster and will take the initiative more often, but Medvedev is known for his inflexibility and ability to fight to the end.

This match can be considered a hidden final, the victory of which can lead to the final triumph of the tournament,” Yanchuk said in an interview with the “Championship” correspondent.
