Athletistic/Tennis. Russian Maria Sharapova, a five-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one, has been nominated for induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame for her significant contributions to the sport of tennis.

Other candidates for induction into the Hall of Fame in 2025 include American tennis legends Bob and Mike Bryan and Canadian Daniel Nestor.

Sharapova, 37, has won 39 WTA titles throughout her career, including 36 in singles. She is Russia’s most decorated female tennis player. Her achievements include five Grand Slam tournament victories and a 2004 WTA Finals singles victory.
