Athletistic/ Tennis. Russian tennis player Yevgeny Kafelnikov spoke about the nomination of Russian Maria Sharapova for inclusion in the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Kafelnikov himself was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019.
“I will vote for Sharapova’s inclusion in the Hall of Fame. I am sure she absolutely deserves it with her results,” Kafelnikov told Sport24.
Sharapova, 37, has won 39 WTA titles throughout her career, including 36 in singles. She is Russia’s most decorated female tennis player. Her achievements include five Grand Slam tournament victories and a 2004 WTA Finals singles victory.
