Athletistic/ Tennis. Former world number one Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has opened up about his relationship with 20-time major winner Roger Federer of Switzerland.
“It’s hard to be a true friend to your opponent, not because of the rivalry itself, but because you have to be with him almost every day. Roger is a great teammate, we’ve achieved a lot together and fought for important things.
“Normal people appreciate their main rivals a lot. We have treated sport and rivalry wisely and have always known how to appreciate each other,” Nadal said according to GB News, citing the broadcast of the El Hormiguero show.
Federer retired from the sport in September 2022.
