Lyudmila Kichenok set a Ukrainian record in Grand Slam tournaments

The tennis player became the first domestic athlete to reach the semifinals in four major tournaments.

Lyudmila Kichenok became the owner of the national tennis record in Grand Slam tournaments.

We remind you that the Ukrainian tennis player made it to the doubles semifinals of the US Open 2024.

According to Big Tennis of Ukraine, he already has access to this stage of competition in all Grand Slam tournaments, and Kichenok became the first Ukrainian to achieve this feat.

Note that in 2022 Lyudmila played in the semi-finals of Roland Garros and Wimbledon. In 2024, he reached the final of the Australian Open, and now has at least a semifinal at the US Open.

In all four majors, in which Luda reached the semi-finals, she performed with Alena Ostapenko from Latvia.
