Athletistic/Tennis. 18-time Grand Slam winner Martina Navratilova explained what has made tennis players successful at the professional level for many years.

“How did I stay in the sport? I love this game. It’s what keeps players playing again and again. It keeps them playing longer than they thought they would. Like Venus and Serena in particular. I remember they said they wouldn’t play after 25 years or something, but they’re still here,” Navratilova said.

Venus Williams, 42, and her younger sister Serena Williams, who turns 41 on September 26, continue to play tennis. On August 9, Venus lost to Swiss tennis player Jill Teichman in the 1/32 finals of the Canadian Open (Canadian Open) with the score 2:6, 3:6. A day earlier, Serena at the same stage of the same tournament beat Spain’s representative Nuria Parrisas-Diaz with the score 6:3, 6:4 and qualified for the 1/16 finals of the competition.
