Athletistic/Tennis. At the US Open, a quarterfinal match took place in which the world’s fifth-ranked player, Daniil Medvedev of Russia, met ATP world ranking leader Jannik Sinner of Italy. Eventually, Sinner won, finishing the match in four sets: 6:2, 1:6, 6:1, 6:4.

After the match, Sinner commented on his performance: “29 successful net entries out of 33, we work a lot on this aspect and it paid off. I was able to improve in this component of the game, and it helped me. I am satisfied with my performance, I played variedly and with pleasure. Thank you for your support. I love playing in New York tonight and I am looking forward to the semi-finals. This is my first semi-final here,” Sinner said in an on-court interview.

Sinner will face Britain’s Jack Draper in the semi-finals of the 2024 US Open.
