Athletistic/Tennis. The world’s fifth-ranked tennis player, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, has been defeated by ATP ranking leader Italian Jannik Sinner in six of his last seven matches. Today, September 5, at the US Open, Medvedev lost to Sinner in the quarterfinals with a score of 2:6, 6:1, 1:6, 4:6.

Thus, since October 2023, Medvedev has been able to win only one victory over Sinner, at Wimbledon 2024. This match ended in five sets – 6:7, 6:4, 7:6, 2:6, 6:3.

Interestingly, in their personal meetings at ATP tournaments, Medvedev won seven and Sinner won six. Although the Russian still leads the overall score, he won most of his victories early in the confrontation, winning the first six head-to-head matches. Sinner then won five matches in a row.

Of the 13 matches, the tennis players played 12 on hard courts, where their statistics were 6:6. The only match on grass was left to the Russian.
