Athletistic/Tennis. On the night of September 6-7, Moscow time, in New York, Italian Jannik Sinner won the semifinals of the US Open, defeating British Jack Draper, 25th in the ATP ranking, with a score of 7:5, 7:6 (7:3), 6:2 and reached the final of the tournament.

The victory was Sinner’s 22nd Grand Slam singles title of the 2024 season. He has won seven at the Australian Open, five at Roland Garros, four at Wimbledon and six at the US Open.

In the 21st century, only four tennis players have achieved such a feat – 22 Grand Slam victories in one season in men’s singles: Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray.
