Athletistic / Tennis. The press service of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has published an updated version of the ranking of the strongest tennis players on the planet in men’s singles. There were six changes in the top 10 at once.
German Alexander Zverev moved up from fourth to second place. He is ahead of Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (world number 3) and Serbian Novak Djokovic (world number 4). This was facilitated by Zverev’s successful performance at the US Open, where he reached the quarter-finals. US Open finalist Taylor Fritz moved up from 12th to 7th place. Because of him, Pole Hubert Hurkacz, Norwegian Kasper Ruud and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov each lost one place.
Italian Jannik Sinner remains the leader of the ATP rankings. After winning the US Open Championship, he has a lead of more than 4,000 points over his closest pursuer.
The best Russian remains Daniil Medvedev, fifth in the ATP ranking. Immediately behind him is his compatriot Andrei Rublev.
