Athletistic / Tennis. Olympic champion, 24-time Grand Slam tournament winner, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic congratulated the world’s number one racket, Italian Jannik Sinner, on his victory at the US Open 2024. In the final of the US Open, the 23-year-old Italian in three sets with a score of 6:3, 6:4, 7:5 defeated American Taylor Fritz.
“Congratulations!” — Djokovic wrote in Italian on his social media page.
Novak then visited Sinner’s page and commented on his post about the victory in New York: “Bravooooo, Yannick.”
Jannik Sinner won the second Grand Slam tournament of his career. In January 2024, he won the Australian Open in Melbourne.
It is worth noting that following the results of the US Open, Sinner has strengthened his leadership in the ATP ranking, with a 4105-point lead over his closest pursuer, the German Alexander Zverev. Novak Djokovic has fallen to fourth place in the world ranking after the US Open.
