Soboleva advances to second round of WTA 125 tournament in Slovenia, Zavatskaya loses and is eliminated

Anastasia Soboleva beats host Ela Mitic in two sets

Ukrainian tennis player Anastasia Soboleva successfully passed the first round of the tournament WTA 125 V LjubljanaShe beat the host of the court, the Slovenian, in two sets. Elu Mitic.

In the second round of the tournament in Ljubljana, Soboleva will face Italian Nuria Brancacino. The match will take place tomorrow, September 11.

Another Ukrainian, Katarina Zavatskayahad a poor start to the tournament in Ljubljana. In the first round, she faced Spaniard Angela Fita Boluda, losing to her in three sets.

The match lasted 2 hours and 41 minutes. The first set was a failure for Zavatska – she lost it to zero. The second set was stubborn and competitive – Katarina managed to win it 7:5. But in the decisive third set she lost 4:6, and its fate was decided by just one break by the Spaniard.

Angela Fita Boluda will play against Germany’s Ella Seidel in the second round.
