Two-time Grand Slam mixed doubles tournament winner Andrei Olkhovsky believes that Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka was among the favourites for the US Open and rightfully became the winner of the tournament.
Sabalenka beat American Jessica Pegula 7:5, 7:5 in the US Open final.
– Arina is great! Like Jannik Sinner, Sabalenka won deservedly. She was one of the favorites even before the start of the US Open, so there is no great feeling here. Sabalenka simply confirmed that she is among the two best tennis players in the world, Olkhovsky said at the Championship.
