Elina met with Ukrainian children who were returned to their homeland thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA program
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina met with Ukrainian children who had previously been stolen from their homes by Russia and who were returned to their homeland thanks to the program Bring Kids Back UAOn this occasion, the former first racket of Ukraine wrote an emotional message:
“Yesterday my heart ached as I met with the brave Ukrainian children who were taken from their homes by Russia. Thanks to Bring Kids Back UA, these children are home and safe. But thousands of children are still being held captive. We cannot stop until every Ukrainian child is brought home.”
Bring Kids Back UA is a Ukrainian humanitarian program created on the initiative of Volodymyr Zelensky. Its goal and objectives are to return home Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia during its full-scale invasion of our country, as well as their reintegration, socialization and development of family forms of education.
Let us recall that earlier Svitolina, who is ranked No. 28 in the world rankings, announced the early end of the season and her desire to focus on treating injuries.
In the early morning hours of February 24, 2022, Russia launched a missile attack and aerial bombardment on most Ukrainian cities, and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war against Russia is now in its 934th day.
