Lesya gave the fourth seed a fight in the second set but still suffered her fifth defeat in a row
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko in the first round of the tournament in Hua Hin (Thailand) she lost to a representative Poland Magda Linett.
The match lasted one hour and 53 minutes. Of the eight games in the first set, six ended with breaks on the opponent’s serves. At the same time, the Polish tennis player, the fourth seed in the tournament, managed to defend two of her serves – and therefore won 6:2.
The second set was similar, only Tsurenko forced her opponent to fight equally. Linette had a match point at 5:4 on Lesya’s serve, but the Ukrainian managed to win back. And yet the Pole brought the matter to a victorious end – 7:5.
Tsurenko lost her fifth match in a row in four different tournaments, and her ninth in her last ten matches. In March, the Ukrainian beat Linette at an event in Miami.
