Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya successfully passed the second round of the tournament ITF W75 in Bulgarian Pazardzhikhaving won a victory over Guillaume Maristani from Spain.
The match lasted 2 hours and 8 minutes. In the first set, the Ukrainian quickly took the lead with a break, but then Maristani acted on equal terms. At 5:5, Zavatska was able to take her opponent’s serve, which became the key to the final victory in the set (7:5).
The second set followed a similar scenario. Maristani put up a decent fight, but Zavatskaya still managed to emerge victorious (6:4).
In the quarterfinals of the tournament, Katarina Zavatska will play against the “neutral” Alevtina Ibragimova. The meeting will take place tomorrow, September 20. The start is not earlier than 10:00 Kyiv time.
