Daria lost to Israeli of Ukrainian descent Glushko in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur lost to the representative of Israel Line Glushko in the quarterfinals of the tournament ITF W100 in Portuguese Caldas da Rainha.
The match lasted one hour and 44 minutes. Snigur immediately took the lead 2:0, but then Glushko took the initiative. At 3:5, the Ukrainian converted a break, but immediately lost her serve.
In the second set, Daria managed a confident revenge – 6:2. But in the third set, her opponent dominated, winning with the same score.
Let us recall that at the previous stage of the tournament in Portugal, Snigur beat Viktoria Grunchakova from Slovakia.
Glushko, 24, is of Ukrainian descent. Her parents moved to Israel from Donetsk in 1999, a year before the future athlete was born.
