The fourth racket in the world Elena Rybakina Kazakhstan will not participate in the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing due to a back injury, the competition organizers report.
The tournament in the Chinese capital will take place from September 25 to October 6.
“We regret to inform you that due to a back injury, our last year’s semi-finalist will not be able to meet the Chinese fans. We wish Rybakina a speedy return to the court,” the statement said.
Rybakina has missed a number of major competitions this season, including the Paris Olympics and the US Open.
