In the final of the selection, the Ukrainian confidently defeated the Korean Chan Su Jeong
Ukrainian tennis player Yulia Starodubtseva made it into the main draw of the tournament WTA 1000 V Beijing.
In the qualifying final, Starodubtseva, seeded tenth in the selection, confidently defeated Chang Su Jeong of South Korea. The match lasted an hour and 10 minutes.
In the first set, Yulia did not give up a single game to her opponent – 6:0. In the second set, the Ukrainian was also stronger – 6:2. During the entire match, Starodubtseva realized 7 out of 10 break points.
Starodubtseva will play in the main draw of a WTA 1000 tournament for the first time in her career. The Ukrainian’s next opponent will be determined later.
Let us recall that at her previous WTA 250 tournament in Tunisia, Yulia also started from the qualification. The Ukrainian eventually reached the quarterfinals.
Four more Ukrainian representatives will play at the tournament in Beijing: Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska, Angelina Kalinina and Lesya Tsurenko.
