Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova failed to qualify for the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing.
The 29-year-old Russian, seeded 22nd in the tournament, lost to Slovakian Rebecca Sramkova in the second round with a score of 7:5, 4:6, 3:6. The athletes spent 2 hours and 20 minutes on the field.
Shramkova’s opponent in the next round will be Spaniard Paula Badosa, who is seeded 15th.
