Why will the light come on in 2024?

The increases in electricity bills respond to the payment of a million dollar debt, accumulated after the electricity price freeze activated in 2019 .

As summarized in National Library of Congress the measure was implemented after the social crisis due to a planned increase in the rates to be paid, determined through the Law 21.185 .

Then, at the beginning of this year, the tariff normalization project was presented, designed with the aim of settling the debt which amounts to 6 billion dollars .
