Blinkova beat former world number one Halep at tournament in Hong Kong

Russian tennis player Anna Blinkova beat former Romanian world number one Simon Halep during the second round match of the WTA 125 tournament in Hong Kong.

The meeting, which lasted 1 hour 4 minutes, ended with a score of 6:2, 6:1 in favor of the Russian, who received the seventh seed in the Challenger.

In the quarter-finals, Blinkova will face top-seeded American Emma Navarro.
