The tennis player did a similar action during Wimbledon
Polish tennis player Hubert Gurkacz announced support for Ukraine and undertook to transfer to the citizens of our country 100 euros for each ace at the upcoming US Open-2022.
“Each ace I make at the US Open will be equal to 100 euros, which I will donate to the Big Orchestra of Christmas Charity to provide Ukraine with medical care.”
It should be noted that Gurkach held a similar action during Wimbledon 2022 in London.
In June, the Pole won the ATP 500 tournament, which took place in Halle, Germany. In the final, Gurkach defeated the first rocket of the world, Daniil Medvedev, in two sets.
The US Open will take place from August 29 to September 11.
Each ace that I hit during the US Open Series swing also equals 100 euro to The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity to help supply Ukraine with medical aid. I hope to serve as many aces as possible until the end of the US Open 🇺🇦#acesforaid #WOSP pic.twitter.com/RTtWcuGk4Q
