Ovcharenko won the ITF M25 tournament in Italy in singles, Krutykh in doubles

Ukrainian tennis player Alexander Ovcharenko became the winner of the tournament ITF M25 in Italian Sante Margherita di Pule in singles.

In the final match, the 22-year-old Ukrainian beat the host of the court, Italian Gianluca Cadenasso. Ovcharenko won the first game with a score of 7:5, recording four breaks. The second set was entirely dictated by Alexander, who wisely took advantage of his opponent’s mistakes on serve. As a result, a victory with a score of 6:2.

This victory was Ovcharenko’s fifth at ITF series tournaments in his career, as well as the second this season. Alexander also played at the ITF M25 tournament in Santa Margherita di Pula in September, but lost in the final match to Spaniard Carlos Sanchez Jover in straight sets.

Another Ukrainian tennis player, Alexey Krutykhpaired with the Greek Dimitris Sakellaridis, won the same tournament in Santa Margherita di Pula in doubles.

In the final match, Krutykh and Sakellaridis beat the Czech pair Dominik Kelovski and Martin Krumich. The Ukrainian duo lost the first set 2:6, but recovered in the second game, ending it with a victory with a score of 6:4. In the tiebreaker in the decisive set, Krutykh and Sakellaridis won 10:6, and for the Ukrainian this victory became the third in his career in doubles at ITF series tournaments.
