The Ukrainian called a physiotherapist onto the court in the first set, after which she withdrew
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko couldn’t finish the second round match at the tournament WTA 1000 in Chinese Wuhan.
Lesya dated a Polish tennis player Magda Linette. At the end of the first set, the Ukrainian took a medical timeout and called a physiotherapist onto the court. Subsequently, Tsurenko withdrew from the tournament. Presumably, the Ukrainian had problems with her right shoulder.
Let us recall that Lesya Tsurenko began her qualification journey at the tournament in Wuhan, beating Linda Frukhvirtova and Erika Andreeva in turn. In the first round of the main draw, the Ukrainian beat Katie Boulter from Great Britain.
At the tournament in Wuhan, Marta Kostyuk remains to compete in singles. The Ukrainian will meet Amanda Anisimova from the USA in the second round. Let us remind you that Yulia Starodubtseva dropped out in the final qualifying round, and Dayana Yastremskaya was unable to overcome the first round.
