Gauff, Paolini, Rybakina and Pegula guaranteed themselves participation in the WTA Finals 2024

There is one vacant place left in the singles category of the Final Tournament

Four tennis players secured their participation in the tournament WTA Finals 2024 following the results of the WTA 1000 competition in Wuhan, China.

Qualified for the Final Tournament Coco Gauff (USA), Jasmine Paolini (Italy), Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) and Jessica Pegula (USA). In the WTA championship race they exceeded the qualifying standard of 4600 points.

Earlier, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Šwiatek secured their places at the WTA Finals event. Also qualifying Barbora Krejcikova. The Czech tennis player is only 12th in the WTA championship race, but passes as the winner of the Grand Slam tournament (Wimbledon 2024) with the highest non-qualifying rating.

One place remains vacant. The main contenders for him are Zheng Qingwen from China (3850 points in the race) and Emma Navarro from the USA (3568 points).

Let us remind you that Ukrainian Lyudmila Kichenok will perform in the final doubles tournament. The tennis player guaranteed herself participation along with Jelena Ostapenko from Latvia.

The final WTA Finals 2024 tournament will be held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, from November 2 to 9. Last season’s singles winner was Iga Szwiatek from Poland.
