Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova withdrew from the WTA 500 category tournament in Ningbo, China, reports the competition’s press service.
In the first round, the 23-year-old Russian was scheduled to play seventh-seeded compatriot Anna Kalinskaya. Potapova withdrew from competition due to an illness of the gastrointestinal tract.
After Potapova’s refusal, Kalinskaya’s opponent will be Priscilla Hon of Australia.
Earlier, Potapova finished her performance at the Wuhan tournament in the second round. Anastasia gave up the fight in the second set of the match against American Jessica Pegula with the score 2:6, 0:2.
