Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov shared his emotions after winning the ATP 250 category tournament in Almaty (Kazakhstan).
In the final match, the Russian, ranked 26th in the ATP rankings, defeated world number 118, Canadian Gabriel Diallo, 6:2, 5:7, 6:3.
– I can relax. You can’t expect the ending to be simple. And that’s what happened.
At certain times I lost track of the game, the opponent reversed the course of the match. It turned out that we now had to play the third set. But I’m happy to have succeeded in this match. The final was very difficult,” Khachanov said after the match.
Khachanov won his second tournament in 2024 and won the 7th title of his career at the ATP level.
