Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenko became leader of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, an updated version of which was published on the organization’s website.
The 26-year-old athlete has 9,706 points; she replaced Iga Szwiatek (9,665) of Poland from first place. Russian Daria Kasatkina moved from 11th to 9th place after winning the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo, China. Her opponent in the final, Mirra Andreeva, also moved up two places and is now in 17th place.
There are also two other Russians in the top 20: Anna Kalinskaya (12) and Diana Schneider (16).
