The main mission is to popularize tennis among Ukrainian children and the development of children’s tennis in general
Martha Kostyuk Charitable Foundation And Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine entered into a memorandum of cooperation in the development and popularization of tennis.
The memorandum was signed by the Minister of Youth and Sports Matvey Bednyas well as the director of the Foundation, Talina Beiko.
The main directions in which cooperation will be carried out have been formulated:
- creating multimedia content to popularize tennis;
- providing opportunities for children and adolescents to become familiar with tennis in Ukrainian schools;
- support for young tennis players who do not have the financial means to continue their sports career.
“This initiative will help attract children to this sport, especially in regions where tennis is still less common. We are ready to support the project at all stages of its implementation,” Bedny noted.
Kostyuk herself emphasized that one of the main tasks is to provide the opportunity for as many children as possible to get acquainted with tennis, master playing skills and develop leadership qualities.
The first racket of Ukraine announced the creation of its own charitable foundation, kostyukfoundation, in April 2023. The first initiative was assistance to an orphanage in the Kyiv region.
