In the second round, Kudermetova was defeated by Spaniard Sara Sorribes-Tormo, who received the sixth seed. The match lasted 1 hour 36 minutes and ended with a score of 6:3, 6:4.
To reach the semi-finals, Sorribes Tormo will face German Tatiana Maria.
