In the final of the event in Tunisia, Daria will play with the Frenchwoman Petretich
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Esipchuk achieved the best result in her short career – she made it to the finals of the tournament ITF W15 in Tunisian Monastir.
The 19-year-old athlete stopped Esther Adeshina from Great Britain in the semi-final battle. The duration of the match was one hour and 42 minutes.
In the first set, Daria managed to take the lead with a score of 4:1, but then her opponent seized the initiative and equalized the score. At the decisive moment, with the score 5:4, the Ukrainian managed to realize a break on her second attempt and take the set.
In the second game, despite the score, Adeshina put up a desperate resistance. The key moment happened in the protracted fifth game – the British woman was unable to convert two break points, as a result the score became 4:1, and our compatriot brought the match to a landslide victory.
Esipchuk will play in his first final at the ITF level. Her rival in the battle for the title will be Frenchwoman Laia Petretich.
