In the key set, the Ukrainian lost three “her” serves
Ukrainian tennis player Yulia Starodubtseva performed unsuccessfully at the tournament WTA 250 V Jiujiang (China).
Yulia finished her performances already in the first round of the main draw, losing to the representative of the Netherlands, Arancha Rus. The meeting lasted two hours and 41 minutes.
The first game remained for Rus, who received the sixth seed (6:4). In the second set, the Ukrainian managed to secure a victory in the tiebreak – 7:2. However, in the decisive set, Starodubtseva lost three “her” serves (3:6).
At the beginning of October, in Beijing, Starodubtseva made a sensational appearance in the quarter finals of the WTA 1000 tournament. After that, Yulia made her debut in the top 100 rankings, now in 92nd position.
The event in Jiujiang will last from October 28 to November 3. The current champion of the tournament is Kateřina Siniakova from the Czech Republic.
