The Ukrainian withdrew from the third set of the match against “neutral” Anna Blinkova
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko couldn’t finish the first round match of the tournament WTA 250 in Merida (Mexico).
Lesya met with the fifth seeded “neutral” athlete Anna Blinkova. The fight lasted more than two hours.
The Ukrainian confidently won the first set, making two breaks. In the second game, Lesya was behind in the score, came back several times, but still lost. In the decisive set, Tsurenko lost four games, after which she withdrew from the match.
Note that the Ukrainian fight was scheduled for Tuesday. However, due to heavy rains the game did not take place and the match was postponed a day later.
35-year-old Lesya Tsurenko has not been on the court since October 9. Then, in the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Wuhan, China, she withdrew from the first set of the match against Magda Linett due to problems with her right shoulder.
