Russian tennis player Alina Korneeva reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Mérida, Mexico.
The 17-year-old Russian beat her compatriot in the second round Anna Blinkova seeded 5th in the tournament, in two sets – 7:5, 6:2. The tennis players spent 1 hour and 27 minutes on the court.
In the quarter-finals, Korneeva will face Spaniard Sara Sorribes-Tormo.
