Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenko defeated China’s Zheng Qingwen at the start of the WTA final tournament in Riyadh.
The rivals spent 1 hour and 26 minutes on the court, the world number one defeated Zheng in two sets – 6:3, 6:4.
Also in group A are the Italian Yasmin Paolini and the Kazakh Elena Rybakina.
In the next match, Sabalenka will play against Paolini on November 4, Zheng will play against Rybakina on the same day.
