During these days, Van der Elst also visited Pichilemu, which he described as a “strange experience” due to the cold that usually characterizes the coastal town. “I had never been to a beach where it was cold,” he explained.
It was precisely there that the influencer tasted a Chilean dish which, according to her story, she did not like.

According to Van der Elst, in Pichilemu he could consume various gastronomic preparations such as ceviche and marshal, which had his approval. “I was fascinated. From then on, every time I go to the beach, I ask for them,” he said.
There he also met the piure the intense red seafood found on the Chilean coast. “I was looking at what they were selling on the stands and I asked: What is this?” he recalled. There, they invited her to try it and she accepted, although they didn’t tell her what it was exactly or what it tasted like.
“I walked around all day with stomach aches because it didn’t taste good.” he described, adding that he would have eaten it “almost the moment they took it out of the sea.”
