Russian Diane Schneider rose from 14th to 12th place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, an updated version of which was published on the official website of the organization.
Schneider, 20, won the WTA 250 tournament in Hong Kong on Sunday. This title was his fourth of the season and of his career.
In addition, two other Russian tennis players improved their positions in the rankings, reaching the semi-finals of the competition in Mérida, Mexico last week. Polina Kudermetova, 21, moved from 133rd to 114th place, Alina Korneeva, 17, from 259th to 184th.
Russia’s first racket remains Daria Kasatkina, who is in ninth position.
There is no change in the top ten rankings. The leader is Belarusian Arina Sabalenka, second place is taken by Polish Iga Szwiatek, third place is taken by American Cori Gauff.
