Recently, the Serb also missed the “thousandth” in Paris
Former world number one, Serbian Novak Djokovic announced his decision to withdraw from Final ATP tournament.
“It is a great honor to qualify for the Final Tournament in Turin. I really wanted to get there, but due to injury I won’t be able to play next week. I apologize to those who were planning to see me. I wish all the players a great tournament. See you again,” the Serbian wrote on the social network Instagram.
Let us remember that an injury prevented Djokovic from competing at the ATP 1000 event in Paris. Thus, Novak completed the season and will return to the court in January 2025 at the Australian Open.
Djokovic has won the ATP Finals for the past two seasons. In total, he has seven victories at the Final Tournament, which is a record.
The ATP Finals 2024 tournament will be held in Turin from November 10 to 17. Its participants will be Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, debutant Alex De Minaur, as well as two “neutral” tennis players – Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev.
