Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev gained a place in the updated version of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings, published Monday on the organization’s website.
Rublev moves from 9th to 8th place, overtaking Australian Alex De Minaur. Last week, the Russian reached the quarter-finals of the tournament in Metz, France, after which he withdrew from the competition due to a possible abdominal injury.
The first racket in the world remains the Italian Jannik Sinner, the German representative Alexander Zverev is in second place in the ranking, and the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is third. Serbian Novak Djokovic lost fifth position to American Taylor Fritz.
