Olkhovsky on Medvedev: “When you are tired of tennis and it’s not fun for you, it’s already hard to beat your opponents”

The champion of the Australian Open-1994 and Roland Garros-1993 in mixed doubles Andrei Olkhovsky shared his opinion on the results of the Russian Daniel Medvedev at the ATP final tournament.

On Tuesday, Medvedev earned his first victory in the final tournament, defeating Australian Alex De Minaur. Earlier, the Russian lost to American Taylor Fritz.

“The thing is, when you say you’re tired of the season, you can’t expect much. There has to be desire: you have to want to win, you have to be hungry. When you have already had your fill of tennis and for you it is not pleasure but work, it is already difficult to beat opponents who are among the strongest today,” Olkhovsky is quoted in Gazeta.Ru.

In the final match of the group stage, Medvedev will face world number one, Italian Jannik Sinner.
