Medvedev suffered a second defeat in the group stage and took third place in the quartet, ending his performance in the tournament.
Sinner and American Taylor Fritz advanced to the semi-finals of the ATP Finals in Ilie Nastase’s group. Australian Alex de Minaur finished fourth.
