World number four Daniil Medvedev commented on his loss to world leader Jannik Sinner in the final round of the ATP Finals Championship group stage. The Russian was defeated by the Italian in two sets – 3:6, 4:6.
“Yannick is very confident now. It’s difficult to play with him. He constantly puts pressure on you. I missed several important goals, so I lost,” Medvedev quotes the Championship.
The defeat against Sinner did not allow the Russian player to reach the semi-finals of the final championship. From the group of Ilie Nastase, where Medvedev played in the playoffs, came Sinner and the American Taylor Fritz. Daniil has one victory in three group stage matches.
