Great Britain beat Germany to become the last quarter-finalist of the Billie Jean King Cup

In the playoffs the British will compete with the current champions – the Canadian team

Team UK confidently beat the team Germany in the last match of the first round of the final tournament Billie Jean King Cup 2024 – 2:0.

In the opening duel, Emma Raducanu turned out to be stronger than Yule Niemeyer. In a match that lasted almost two hours, the Briton won both sets with the same score of 6:4.

The result of the second singles match was fatal for the German team. Laura Siegemund was unable to provide worthy resistance to the 24th racket of the world, Katie Boulter. The favorite of the confrontation allowed her opponent to take only three games in total.

The British team has reached the quarter-finals, where they will face the defending champions, the Canadian team.
