Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RFF) Alexei Selivanenko assessed the Russian’s game Daniel Medvedev at the ATP final tournament in Turin.
On Thursday, in the third final round of the group round of the Final Tournament, Medvedev lost to Italian world number one Jannik Sinner in straight sets – 3:6, 4:6. Medvedev dropped out of the tournament; earlier in the group he lost to American Taylor Fritz and beat Australian Alex de Minaur.
— If we do not take into account the first match, where Daniil, by his own admission, looked mentally exhausted, then, in principle, he played the other two matches at a decent level. Does it matter who it is best to start the tournament with and who to play the third match of the group with? The schedule is what it is, it is established according to a certain algorithm and is not a determining factor,” Selivanenko told RB Sport.
